Join the Greater Oakland Charter Chapter of ABWA on Tuesday,  December 20 for our annual holiay chapter meeting to support a loal non-profit organization.  This year, we have chosen to support Leader Dogs for the Blind.

Our evening begins with networking followed by a special presentation  including a tour of the Leader Dogs Canine Center at 6:00 pm. The canine development center in Rochester Hills is the hub for all dog-centric operations. Up to 400 dogs, from puppies to retired Leader Dogs, may be housed here at any time. In addition to dog care, the canine center is also the home base of the veterinary, puppy development, breeding and maintenance departments, and the Leader Dog gift shop. Our host, Stephen Moran, Special Events Director for Leader Dogs, will give us an overview of Leader Dogs as well as a tour which details the processes and services this organization provides.

Donations to Leader Dogs can be made by cash or check at the meeting or online at:  https://secure.qgiv.com/event/tldd-aoc/

In-person attendance is recommended.

In-person attendees will meet in the Canine Center Conference Room at Leader Dogs for the Blind.  Enter through the Avon Road entrance.  Following the program, they will enjoy a drive through downtown Rochester to see the holiday lights and have dinner at a local rstaurant following the presentation and tour.  Meeting attendees are responsible for the cost of their food and drink, including tax and tip.

Those unable to attend in person are invited to join us on Zoom.  Cost to attend virtually (using Zoom) is free.
